Asia-Pacific Regional Info Day

On behalf of the Belmont Forum, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan would like to welcome you to Taipei on 27-28 October 2017 for a discussion about scientific priorities in the Asia-Pacific Region and opportunities for partnership to address areas of common interest in the region. This two-day meeting is an activity of the Belmont Forum, a global science funding partnership that includes in its membership many scientific ministries and funding agencies from Asia-Pacific and around the globe. The Forum works collaboratively to support research that integrates natural sciences, social sciences, and stakeholder knowledge to understand, mitigate, and adapt to global environmental change.

The first day of the meeting is a high-level discussion that welcomes a diversity of perspectives from across Asia-Pacific to identify future trends in global change and sustainability science funding and implementation, as well as the areas for possible partnership to leverage current and near-term investments. The second day is a workshop for funders only that will discuss current scientific opportunities with the Belmont Forum for Asia-Pacific investment and leadership where natural science, social science, and user participation is required.

Attendance will be limited. We hope that you will be able to join us. Please RSVP your attendance by 30 September 2017.
